V is for... Clockartz

Last week teased Q-dance with a mysterious message. You've been speculating like crazy. We've read original conspiracy theories - our hardstyle family is very creative in that respect. From a new Phuture Noize album to a Project One album and even Hardwell came along. Nothing could be further from the truth. V is for... Clockartz!

After months of hard work in the studio, the Italian boys can finally shout it off the roof: Clockartz' debut album ‘Chord V’ is on its way. Coming to you in September, on Q-dance Records. But before that, you can enjoy their title track which premiered today: ‘Chord V’.

“CHORD V IS A CONCEPTUAL ALBUM, A STORY WE WANT TO TELL. THERE ARE NO REMIXES, NO COLLABORATIONS WITH OTHER ARTISTS. IT'S 100% CLOCKARTZ.”

They are not only surprising us with an album. V is also a Clockartz' album showcase, which they will debute at IMPAQT | Festival of Titans. With V, Clockartz is going to play the music of Chord V for the first time, in a very special way: mixing great melodies with hard kicks, including breathtaking audiovisual effects.

Chord V

‘Chord V’ is a melodic mix of a grand, cinematic sound, psytrance-like influences and rough kicks. In the first three minutes, we almost feel like listening to a track that could be in the background of a BBC Earth episode. And then it goes hard, with pounding kicks and a nice dark hardstyle sound.

This makes ‘Chord V’ the ideal Defqon.1 Closing Ritual track. One that's played when the last minutes of Defqon.1 start and on which you, together with all those other thousands of fans, dance as if your life depends on it, while the fireworks and lasers dance to the beat of the music. And every time you ever hear this record again, you think back to that magical moment. This is endshow material.

We understand in which direction Clockartz is going with this and we're very curious about the rest of the album. ‘Chord V’ is definitely something different from the last tracks of Clockartz (although the warm melody and hard kicks are clearly audible) and reminds us more of the ‘Luma’ bootleg, which was a big hit in 2017. On to the next hit! September is just a few months away...

Chord V will be released on Q-dance Records in September. Do you want to know more about Clockartz' debut album? Leave your questions via social, we'll answer it very soon in a Q&A together with Clockartz.
