Qlimax: this one is for the rookies

Qlimax is one big mystery. From announcing the artists to the return of Project One. You never know what to expect. A stage that changes during the evening, a singer hanging in the air surrounded by a curtain of light or a spontaneous set of a mystery guest. Are you going to Qlimax for the first time this year? Let's dive deep inside. This one is for the rookies! What you can expect on Qlimax, no visitor can tell. Usually, you hear the stories of friends who have already been there, or you get to see one of the live sets or after movies. We can't tell you exactly either. That's a surprise every year. But that doesn't mean there isn't enough to look forward to. Q-dance probably already had your brain working overtime by announcing the line-up, and it's different than usual this year. Where previous years the evening started with an hour of classics, the music built up from euphoric hardstyle to raw hardstyle. After this Qlimax was concluded with a blazing hardcore set. This year Q-dance adds some extra power to the Qlimax line-up: D-Sturb, Radical Redemption and Rejecta represent the harder segment of raw hardstyle in the upcoming edition: Symphony of Shadows. As a rookie you won't be alone next Saturday, KELTEK, D-Sturb, Radical Redemption Rejecta and Miss K8 will be playing Qlimax for the first time this year.

 

 

At Qlimax, you want to be as early as possible. The timetable will never be released, that will stay a surprise. You also don't want to miss the opening show! Maybe a gigantic curtain will fall down or the stage will suddenly be lit up and it will be much bigger than you thought. One thing is for sure, soon you will experience it all. Which entrance do you have: E or Q? And do your friends have the same entrance? When you go to Qlimax for the first time, it's so nice to go in with friends because the GelreDome is big and it's different here than at other parties. Make sure you are prepared and clearly agree on a place to meet, because you don't feel like looking for your friends for another hour. The ritual of going in here is different from what you are used to. Scanning tickets, lockers, picking up and charging your GelreDome Wallet (you pay with a card). You can charge it online and at local charging stations. After this, you get through security and go into the cold and up the stairs, to enter the hardstyle temple. You can already feel the music running through. The only thing between you and Qlimax 2019 is one more closed door. Open the door, get down the single-breaking stadium stairs and there you are. In a dark room full of mystical lighting, there is a magical atmosphere.

The evening will be warmed up by The Qreator, and who that is will remain a secret for a while. But this set is perfect to get into the vibe before the opening show starts. Then the excitement builds up and you hear it loud and clear through the hall: "Welcome to Qlimax". A sentence that gives every Qlimax visitor goose bumps. This is the official start of the show and from this moment on you will be part of the story of Symphony of Shadows all night long. The special thing about Qlimax is that between each artist a small part of the whole story is told. This is reinforced with show elements that will amaze your moment at the moment. Qlimax is not just a party, it's an experience, How's B-Front gonna grab his big moment? Which show elements will come along? What kind of feeling do you have when you hear the anthem? During the set of King B-Front you will get all the answers to these questions. Will the stage change at certain times of the evening? Will there be ceiling consoles right above your head or do you suddenly have to turn around for a show element on the other side of the hall? We can't tell you that, you're really going to find out for yourself. But one thing is certain: you'll never forget your first Qlimax. After this evening you will be one of those friends who tell stories to other rookies.
