Decibel outdoor is going through some major changes this year. After more than seventeen successful years, the festival becomes bigger, better, longer. The Friday and Sunday parties at the campsite move to the festival grounds, and we can enjoy an extra, full day of Decibel outdoor. More stages, more artists, more music. In this city we live loud!

“One full festival day is not enough. Decibel is just too big and epic, to explore it in one dag”, Elizabeth of b2s says. The organization behind Decibel outdoor, has been busy expanding the festival for years, but that was a long way. “You just don't do it just like that. It is a process of years,” she says. “It is a lot of hassle. There are so many stakeholders: the municipality, the Beekse Bergen, local residents. ”

Moreover, people have been complaining about the noise level on Decibel for years. An extension seemed almost impossible. “Fortunately, we have now found a solution for this.” Decibel is not only allowed to expand their upcoming edition until 01.00 am, but can also add one extra festival day to the party. On one condition: the Sunday becomes a silent disco.

“Sunday is silent. That’s why we have chosen this years slogan: ‘In this city we live loud!’. Because you can set your headphones as loudly as you want.” Artists such as Ran-D, Sub-Zero Project, E-Force, Paul Elstak, Rebelion and DarkRaver will hit it hard, live through headphones.

“Headphones are handed out at the entrance to the festival grounds,” Elizabeth says. “Every stage is on a different frequency. That way, when you walk around the festival grounds, you can still hear the music from the various stages.” Ideal if you prefer to go hard on some uptempo, while your friends feel more like a euphoric set.

Large festivals such as Lowlands have had a silent disco for much longer, but this will be the first time that an entire festival, of such a large size, is completely in silent disco. This makes the Decibel outdoor Sunday one of the largest silent discos in the world. Let’s LIVE LOUD!

Do you want to hear Hardstyle (or harder) bang through your headphones? Hear another set without having to walk for it? Then make sure you are ready for Decibel outdoor: The Silent Disco!
